On Feb.15, 2013, a CAT scan revealed that my wife (Mary) had "lymphoma" which a biopsy later revealed to be collecting duct carcinoma that had completely enveloped the left kidney and encircled the aorta adjacent to the kidney. The left kidney was removed, but some of the cancer surrounding the aorta could not be removed.She started chemo on March 8--the drugs are gemcitabine and carboplatin.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who is taking these drugs (or others) for CDC.
