Menu - Groups

Rare Cancer Forums Groups

Clicking on the Groups link in the top page menu, will redirect you to the Groups selection page. All Groups pages can be viewed by registered members or non-registered members.  When you click on the Groups link, you will be redirected to your Groups Membership page.

1. You will see two drop down menus. The top drop down menu will be for your registered private groups.
2. The second dropdown menu will be for groups that you are not registered to use.

3. Click on the top dropdown menu arrow and find one of your private groups. Highlight it and click your mouse on it.
4. Then click on the View Information button.  You will be automatically redirected to that Group's Member List page.

There is a lot for me to explain on that page, so you may want to take your time doing this. The top of that page shows the Group Information.  You will see:

1. The Group Name.
2. A clickable link to the Group's private forum.
3. Total number of group members.
4. The Group description, including some synonymous names for cancers in that group
5. If you are a member of the group, you will see an Unsubscribe button that will allow you to be removed from the Group. If you do not currently belong to this group, you will also see a Join Group button that will allow you to request membership to this group.

On the bottom of the page, you will see the Group Membership section.

1. You will see that the Group Moderator is listed first.
2. Group members are listed next.
3. For each member, you will find a Username, with a clickable link to that member's Profile.
4. You will also see the number of posts that member has posted on all forums
5. The member's cancer diagnosis and ..
6. An Email button (if displayable). Clicking on this will allow you to send an email to that member via the Forums.
7. Lastly, if the member has a cancer related website/page that they own or have authored, a www button will be displayed. Clicking on it will take you to that page.
8. You will also notice that there are two dropdown menus at the top of this list. They allow you to resort the order of the Member List.

Sorting the Group Member List
You can select the order in which the members are displayed. There are two dropdown menus to the right.

1. To change the element that the memberlist is sorted on , use Sort Method drop down menu. Click on the arrow to the right of it, use your mouse to select a different method and click on it

2. To change the order that the list is sorted on, use the Sort Order drop down menu. Click on the arrow to the right of it, use your mouse to select ascending or descending order and click on it.
3. After you have chosen the sorting element and order, click on the Sort button to display the list in that order. A new page will open with the newly sorted list.
