Member profiles are publicly viewable in the Members list and the individual profile, although validation information is not viewable to the public. Validation information is viewable to the Forum Administrator & Moderators. Each person can also see their own validation information, but not that of others.

All forums cannot be viewed by the general public, but their headings can. Only the posts in forums labelled 'Publicly Viewable' can be viewed by the public. Registered members can view all publicly viewable forums, general forums, and private forums for their particular cancer grouping.

If you choose to publish your email in your profile, it is possible that it may be seen by the public (within the publicly viewable forums). To have private conversations with other forum members, a better method is through private messaging through the forums. Under those circumstances, your email address would be disclosed.

Private forums should be treated as such. Postings to these forums should be treated with the utmost confidentiality. "What you hear here, let it stay here." We ask that you respect the rights of others and allow these forums to remain a secure and comforting place for rare cancer patients to communicate.

The Rare Cancer Alliance values your right to privacy. We ask that you read our Privacy Statement before participating.
