Metastatic Neuroendocrine Cancer-aggressive

Postby ShiningStar » Mon May 10, 2010 6:35 pm

This is my moms story. She is 53. Has been relatively healthy up until 2 years ago. She had heart problems and two stints placed. Things were better for a while then PVCs and a heart ablation. That went well and then pain after eating. One Sunday in the first week of March she went in to the ER-pain in the stomach. Tests were ran-conditions eliminated. Finally Doc believes she has pancreatic cancer. More tests-a biopsy-not pancreatic, rather neuroendocrine. Two rounds of chemo-another scan-tumors have doubled. Sent to a specialist in Columbus Ohio=results cancer is aggressive=Live each day-her time is limited and it will probably be in the next 6 months. more chemo ordered-she starts tomorrow-praying it works. There will be doors opened if it does. Please please please work. Looking for help-looking for someone who has tried anything else. My mom needs more time. We need more time. : help :
